Editing the Music Video (7) (Wrapping up)

Today is the day I can proudly declare the completion of my MUSIC PROMOTIONAL VIDEO. But before that, of course, I'll have to explain the additions I made. For example, the cinematic widescreen bars using the crop effect on an adjustment layer laid over the entire sequence.  I used the same font I had used while making the digipak (that I downloaded from 'dafont' website ( https://www.dafont.com/new.php?page=2 ) for the name of the song and artist. Music Video: Digipak: I also made copies of the title 'TAKE ON ME' and played around with the color balance effect and position option to create a glitch animation. I used the classic 'game over' font used in videogames to write 'GAME OVER' at the end of the music video.  Furthermore, I experimented with the colors of the final title to see which looked best.  Lastly, I added an animated glitch effect to an adjustment layer above

Editing the music video (6) (Color grading and conventions)

Today I color graded all the clips individually. The exposure and lighting in different clips were very dissimilar, so I couldn't just add a single Lumetri Color Preset on an adjustment layer laid over the whole sequence. Thereafter, I color graded each clip manually according to the vibe I was going for. This is an example of how I edited one of the clips. As researched before, conventionally comedic videos are color graded in a way to give a natural look. Therefore, I didn't add an extreme faded effect or saturate the colors of the video clips. However, I added subtle tints, such as the pink tint used in the Close-up shot of Sheece, to represent love/affection (following the romance genre).  However, deviating from conventions, I added exaggerated tints in certain parts to give a comedic effect (and also to represent feeling scared or shocked).

Editing the Music Video (5)

I've finally edited the performance scenes. In After Effects CS6, using the 'Keylight 1.2' effect, I removed the green screen from the desired performance clips I wanted to use.  In some clips, a silhouette effect was created using the 'curves' effect. If the bottom left point of the line in the graph is moved up, the black background remains black but the person in the shot is turned into matte white. If the background is white, the top right point of the line is moved down to turn the person in the frame into matte black. These clips were then imported into Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018. I removed the background of some clips that required it using masking.  By cutting the clip at many points or masking funky shapes in the clip, I tried to add deviation in the effects and animations I was creating. In one place, I tried a unique approach. Firstly, I masked out the unwanted background from the clip.  Then u

PROMOTION

To promote my music promotional video and excite the audience, the main cover of the digipak was released on Sheece Temuri's Instagram account (the main actor). Along with the cover picture, he wrote 'Stay Tuned' to engage the audience further. It's clear from the quick responses of the audience members that they're excited for the release of the main media text, the music promotional video.
