Editing the front cover of the digipak.

For the front cover, the upside-down picture of Sheece was adjusted on the yellow background layer and was colour graded. Using Liquify effect, his hair was stretched and spread.

A copy of that layer was made and with the help of the mask option and brush tool, the dispersion effect was created.

The normal layer and the layer with the liquify effect were duplicated and in their blending mode options, the colour green was switched off. These layers were then slightly displaced to give a glitch effect.

Scale lines and cartridge glitch overlay were added in the background to create depth and texture.

Lastly, a rectangular bar, title of the album, name and signature of the artist were added to complete the digipak cover.

Media Assessement

In this video, we went full swing on editing and mise-en-scene.  Action-Match and short takes prevented the video from being boring due to the limited camera angles and movements. Animation, adding layers of lower opacity, black and white tint effect, reverse and repeat effect made the music video look more interesting. Write-on and flash effects were used to introduce the title in an innovative way.  We used two studio lights, positioned at 45 degrees from the centre, with translucent white and red filters. A third light was used to form a rim of light behind the actress.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rfe_siD6IE

Shooting (Day 1)

Yesterday I made a list in which I organized all the scenes to be filmed according to different days. Today and tomorrow's scenes mostly included the stabilizer shots so that I could be done with using the stabilizer and return it back to the school's media lab (because other groups would want to use it as well). The numbers written in the list are the same as the numbers I wrote with the scenes drawn in the rough storyboard. After today's shoot, I ticked the scenes that were successfully filmed so that I could complete the ones that were left tomorrow. Yesterday I also made a list of all the props and people required for today's shot and messaged my actors accordingly.  I had informed my actors to arrive at 8am. This was important since today's shots were taken in a public park and an area surrounded by restaurants and cafes where it gets crowded after 11am. I stabilized the stabilizer before the actors arrived. I filmed those shots first that re...
