Editing the Back cover of the digipak

Firstly I removed the green screen from Sheece's picture and positioned it on the yellow background. After colour grading the image, I made three copies of the layer. The four layers were named and labelled with colours as shown in the picture.

For the layers that were marked with colours, only one channel colour was switched on in the blending mode (according to the colour they were labelled with).

After this, each layer, except for the original layer, was slightly distorted by using the 'Shear effect'. This enabled the channel colours to be visible.

All these layers were then grouped and the group was duplicated.

Using the rectangular marque tool, rectangles were made in the duplicated group, and by pressing 'control' and 'backspace' the rectangles were masked out to reveal the grouped layer underneath.

A copy of the original image was made and brought on top of all the layers and half of it was masked out.

Scale lines were then added on top of the picture and an opaque blue polygon was created on the right-hand side. Lastly, a rectangular bar, copyright statement, bar code, signature of the artist and tracklist were added.

Media Assessement

In this video, we went full swing on editing and mise-en-scene.  Action-Match and short takes prevented the video from being boring due to the limited camera angles and movements. Animation, adding layers of lower opacity, black and white tint effect, reverse and repeat effect made the music video look more interesting. Write-on and flash effects were used to introduce the title in an innovative way.  We used two studio lights, positioned at 45 degrees from the centre, with translucent white and red filters. A third light was used to form a rim of light behind the actress.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rfe_siD6IE

Shooting (Day 1)

Yesterday I made a list in which I organized all the scenes to be filmed according to different days. Today and tomorrow's scenes mostly included the stabilizer shots so that I could be done with using the stabilizer and return it back to the school's media lab (because other groups would want to use it as well). The numbers written in the list are the same as the numbers I wrote with the scenes drawn in the rough storyboard. After today's shoot, I ticked the scenes that were successfully filmed so that I could complete the ones that were left tomorrow. Yesterday I also made a list of all the props and people required for today's shot and messaged my actors accordingly.  I had informed my actors to arrive at 8am. This was important since today's shots were taken in a public park and an area surrounded by restaurants and cafes where it gets crowded after 11am. I stabilized the stabilizer before the actors arrived. I filmed those shots first that re...
