I came across an amazing director, Edgar Wright, who manipulates the art of editing to create hilarious texts. The use of prominent visual effects in his movies deviate from the comedy genre conventions generally used in other movies. Nonetheless, the style of making and editing the movies is such that the comedic aspect can clearly be recognized. The movies that particularly impressed me were 'Shaun of the death' and 'Scott Pilgrim vs The World'.
In this video, we went full swing on editing and mise-en-scene. Action-Match and short takes prevented the video from being boring due to the limited camera angles and movements. Animation, adding layers of lower opacity, black and white tint effect, reverse and repeat effect made the music video look more interesting. Write-on and flash effects were used to introduce the title in an innovative way. We used two studio lights, positioned at 45 degrees from the centre, with translucent white and red filters. A third light was used to form a rim of light behind the actress. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rfe_siD6IE
