Orbiting Hyperlapse and Stop Motion / Trying out shots for Music Video

For the Orbiting Hyperlapse, I had to use an inextensible thread and chalk to draw a semicircle about a fixed point, where a guy was made to stand. Thereafter, I took pictures from a DSLR, mounted on a tripod, that was moved along the path of the semicircle at constant intervals of length.

Media Assessement

In this video, we went full swing on editing and mise-en-scene.  Action-Match and short takes prevented the video from being boring due to the limited camera angles and movements. Animation, adding layers of lower opacity, black and white tint effect, reverse and repeat effect made the music video look more interesting. Write-on and flash effects were used to introduce the title in an innovative way.  We used two studio lights, positioned at 45 degrees from the centre, with translucent white and red filters. A third light was used to form a rim of light behind the actress.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rfe_siD6IE

Research on Genres

I want to create a music video following the comedy and romance genre. To create such a text, I looked into the romance and comedy genre conventions that I could follow. These are some of the important points I noted down.  ROMANCE: COMEDY: I came across a table that showed the types of comedy. To my surprise, visual comedy (through editing) was not included.

Planning My Music Promotional Video

Even though, I have a general idea of the storyline of my music video, thinking of specific situations I want to portray can be challenging. I don't want to base my music video on a single problem which will make it very boring, so I've decided to incorporate many different situations in the video in a jumbled order. I made rough sketches of the different shots I wanted to take and the effects of wanted to add.                      I want to take a long video clip in which the actor is in the middle of the road and cars are moving beside him. The clip will be sped up to create a timelapse with lines of light created by the lights of the car.
